# 41 -Here in the Midwest it looks as though we are on the downside of winter as our temperatures soar into the 70’s this week. I fear we are not yet done with the icy breath of the season – nor should we be. It’s only February! Still, the sun feels good. It’s been awhile since I’ve written you; but today I have a couple of job possibilities and a good story so please, read on! ....... Click here to read more February 2016
# 42 -I couldn’t state it better than our Missouri Prairie Foundation Executive Director did below and in the attached announcement. American prairies really can and do evoke our national spirit. Our native grassland remnants are a reminder of our heritage as our forebears moved across rich, fertile lands to follow the bison herds and celebrate the freedom which prairies represent....... # 45 - I am in the enviable position of having six “Other Daughters” those daughters of dear friends who share their thoughts with me and who I am able to offer whatever wisdom I have gained – from paddling a canoe to dealing with personal challenges. This morning one of my Other Daughters sent me Hillary Clinton’s concession speech, a heartfelt speech filled with love of country and a call to action to become involved or increase our engagement to keep the United States moving forward now and into the future..... # 46 - The first snow is falling here and has brought to mind how time passes - and in that time how we have a responsibility to learn all we can, do all we can, celebrate all we can and venerate all we can. So much vitriol has accompanied our Summer and Autumn that the peace of this first snow brings a restful pause for which I am thankful.... Click here to read more December 2016
